The Georgia General Assembly has drafted a bill (H.B. 822) to include Comprehensive Sex Education verbiage in Georgia school's core curriculum code.

Summary: A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Part 2 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to competencies and core curriculum under the "Quality Basic Education Act," so as to provide that the prescribed course of study in sex education and HIV prevention instruction is age appropriate and medically accurate; to include the subject of consent in such course of study; to provide for implementation; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
